Transition
Work alongside Kerri & Kelley during the 2023-2024 school year.
Transition to full-time duties during 2024-2025 school year.
Can be a current teacher during 2023-2024, but must be a non-teacher (retired or otherwise no longer in practice) during 2024-2025 school year.
This is a chart that outlines the basic duties of the role of Area 6 FFA Coordinator. This list is not exhaustive of all duties, but provides a guide for the minimum expectation of work that will be completed by the Area Coordinator. As responsibilities are changed based on Texas FFA requirements or the needs of the Area 6 FFA Association, they will be subject to adjustment.

Executive Meeting -- prepare handouts/agenda for meeting. Take notes during meeting.
Teacher’s Planning Meeting -- Prepare handouts/agenda for meeting. Take notes during meeting.
ALC -- Help as needed with Area Camp Coordinator & Area Leadership Development Coordinator-- copies, purchase supplies, etc.
July
VATAT Conference -- prepare packet for teachers, nominations, etc. Take notes during Tuesday meeting at conference.
August
Update website with calendar and contact information from planning meeting & conference
Create email distribution lists for new year
Communicate Area event dates to JudgingCard for registration
September

Order Plaques for all events for year
Order banners for Sweepstakes events

Facilitate Scantron use by schools hosting invitational events

Area Officer Applications -- Collect and distribute AO applications for scoring.
Prepare rubrics and materials for AO interview/test in January

Area Convention -- make program and ballot packets. Make other preparations as needed by Area Officer Advisors.

Registration for NTCC and Horse CDE Events
Registration for Speaking Events

Make registration packets for Horse CDE.
Run scantron at Horse CDE when available
Run scantron at NTCC CDE when available
Coordinate with NTCC as needed for CDE events, consolidate registration
May
Area Degree Check -- speaking judge packets, facilitate food for degree check participants. Make copies of information needed for Area Officer Meeting.
Consolidated financial report for current school year to be presented at Executive Meeting
Secure committees for Area and State, submissions to State, contacting advisors for corrections
Secure judges for Area & State Speaking Development Events
