Horse CDE @ Marshall City Arena will be April 1, 2019

    • Check-in will be open by 3:30 p.m.
    • Contest starts at 4:30 p.m.
    • Please make sure to bring correct Universal A scantron and have your students carefully bubble in their chapter numbers.

NTCC Events -- Forage, Forestry, Land, Homesite on April 2, 2019

    • Contest will begin at 8:30 a.m.
    • Check-in will be at NTCC Ag Building
    • Please bring correct scantrons for events you have entered.

Qualifying Events for Range & Wool @ Tarleton State University Area events on April 17

  • ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries made prior to 11:59 P.M., Wednesday April 10, 2019, will be $50.00/team. Late entries will be accepted at $100.00/team on a space available basis. Only online entries will be accepted.
  • The events will start at 8:30 A.M.
    • Early check-in will be held from 5:30-7:00 P.M. Tuesday evening April 16th, at the East edge (backside) of the Bosque River Shopping Center parking lot (2900 W. Washington St.), for those in town early and wanting to pick up their packets. See the map for more details on the location.
    • Check- in will be from 6:30 A.M. - 7:30 A.M Bosque River Shopping Center (2900 W. Washington St.)
    • To facilitate check-in for EVERYONE, please only send ONE vehicle/school to pick up the packets. Pre arrange an offsite rendezvous with your other vehicles to distribute lapel card and etc.
  • IMPORTANT: Coaches will need to furnish transportation to and from the CDE sites. Since these events are held at separate locations, coordination among coaches is essential. Vehicles will NOT be allowed to leave Hunewell Ranch until after 9:00 A.M.
  • The events will be computer graded, and you are asked to furnish the appropriate, newest version of the scan sheets for you students participating in these events. These sheets are available from www.judgingcard.com .
  • EVENT LOCATIONS:
    • Range: Hunewell Ranch
    • Wool: National Guard Amory
  • RULES:
    • State rules will be followed as closely as possible. A team consists of three or four members. Only the top three scores will be counted. ALL COACHES MUST STAY AWAY FROM EVENT SITES PRIOR TO AND DURING THE EVENT. Coaches may go through the event after judging has been completed. Use of electronic devices or their unauthorized materials will result in contestant disqualification. All participants will need to have a current Tarleton AREA Lapel card prominently displayed or they will NOT be allowed to participate.
  • RESULTS: Results will be announced in the Small Gym at 2:15 P.M. Complete results will be posted to the http://www.judgingcard.com website at the conclusion of the Awards Program.

Bi-Area Events will be April 16 @ TAMU-C/SS.

  • They are adding an Entomology contest this year that will be our qualifying event.

The new Area Metal Fabrication and Welding event will be April 18 @ Pittsburg High School.

TAMU Meats will be April 6 as the Area qualifying event.

  • Area 6 typically participates in the second wave of contestants.
